Quick question about Xm fluid level indicator on LHM tank

Post by robbocop33 »

I know the level doesn't have to be spot on but i don't ever think i've seen it specified which 'disc' has to be within the two red lines,i think even in the Haynes manual it says,"make sure 'the' disc is between the two lines"?There are 'two'discs, one is yellow and one is gold!

Not sure about XM's, but it's likely to be the same as in the Xantia's where the lower brassy metal disc is probably a centering washer and the topmost orange conical chinaman's hat Image is the one to use for measuring the level.

Overfilling will only make a mess as the surplus leaks out!

The copper disc is part of the low level switch - and its the orange conical device at the top thats the indicator.
