ZX and 306 suspension similarities?

Post by __CA__ »

I know they share the same floorpan, but how similar are the suspension and steering components? I'm particularly interested in the front wishbones & bushes, and the rear beam & its bushes.

I have a ZX 16v ('95N, only 54k miles) which I want to modify for fast road and track use. Peugeot Sport have various Group N rally components available for the 306 - e.g. tougher bushes, thicker torsion bars and thicker anti-roll bars. Will they fit?

The rear beam bearings are beginning to fail (tyres are rubbing on the inside face of the arch) and I'm planning on stripping it soon. So if I'm going to uprate the bars and bushes, now is the time.

Thanks! :)

As far as I know they are identical, the only thing I'm unsure on are the wishbones.

They are the same until the 306 was given a facelift in 1996.
