If only this were a "real" decap, and not a car that someone got a bit over-enthusiastic with the grinder on:

This is not a signature.
According to dvla it's still a saloon car, but thats not unusual in these cases, as Crayford never used to change the V5 description, either.
He doesn't appear to have taken any pictures of the longitudinal reinforcement-it'd be nice to see how it was done. Crayford used to box along the inner sills and across the floor in front of the front seats, and under the back seats which meant that the carpets never fitted properly, but this appears to have been done by building a roll cage into it. You can't see if it continues down to the floor behind the trim, though.
It actually looks quite well done, apart from the back end-shame there's no roof, though!!! Perhaps a better approch would have been to leave the cant rails in place and create some kind of 2cv or Visa decap type assembly, then at least it would have been reasonably weatherproof.

This car has been owned by the seller for at least 5 years now and its a good conversion. I've seen it at a CCC rally a few years back, more than strong enough reinforcement.
It is a shame about that roof though, why didnt the guy make a roof????
