I really am hoping someone can help me because the main dealers think I'm an idiot, and I know they are! I have a 2000 X reg 406 HDI. Fitted in the car is the Clarion tape deck, fixed to the 6CD changer, and the standard car kit for the nokia is tied in too.
The problem is this. Once in a while, more and more often, there will suddenly be a noise like a breeze-block has just landed above or close to my head. It is a very loud bang, with no warning at all. It doesn't EVER happen when the stereo is off, and the dealers can't find anything apparently wrong. It does not seem to matter how long the stereo is on for, it can happen after 5 minutes or 3 days. Nor does the volume of the stereo seem to matter at all......
Any guidance that anyone could give me, however big or small, would be very gratefully received. Anyone had similar?
