Laguna Blower Multiplug supplier?

Unread post by phosty »

Hi,

I have a 96 Laguna which has auto climate control (apparently quite rare). The blower motor started playing up about 12 mths ago and the dealer said the computer was reporting a problem with the motor/connection. Anyway, I replaced the blower (£180!!) and the problem seemed cured.
However, the new blower stopped working recently.

If I unplug the rectangular, 10 pin multiplug and reconnect then it will work until I switch off the ignition again. Looking more closely at the plug it seems there is some arcing and sparking going on as there is white residue around two of the pins (the power supply?). I think the problem is that the plug connector got damp (I had a matrix leak) and since then the pins have been corroding. Renault quoted me £90 for the motor loom including plug and £600 to fit (dashboard etc). Does anyone know where I could get a replacment multiplug so I can cut the old one off and connect a new one using terminal clamps? Behr won't tell me who their supplier is and Renault won't play game either.

And all the breakers are reporting no climate control models in stock.

It's just a tiny plug!!

Alternatively I could try to disassemble the old motor and wire directly but it doesn't look the easiest think to take apart.

Help!
