Hello
I bought a 205 xld on 91 H plate showing 148k miles on clock
there is no temp gauage but I know there is a temp sensor somewhere and it has a 'STOP' warning light if the engine heats up. my question is how easy or difficult to put a temp gauage and will I be able to use that sensor for the gauage? if yes where is the sensor? and do these models have illumination in glovebox? as there is a gap there but no light?
thanx alot
Some help/advice about 205 xld please.

I did this job fifteen years ago on a new BX which I bought, and your engine is very similar. Look on top of the thermostat housing. You'll maybe see two senders, but it could be that there's only one, with the other hole being filled by a screwed plug. If you are lucky, the sender unit which comes with your thermometer kit will fit the thread in the plugged hole. Then it's only a matter of mounting the dial on the dash and connecting the wiring.
