Trouble Starting 405

Post by OwenP »

I have a P reg 405 est TD with an immobiliser fitted, at some point this appears to have been disabled, ie. I don't have to put a code in every time it starts, just as well really as I don't know the code.

However sometimes the car won't charge the glow plugs which I'm guessing is either the imobiliser working partly or is a fualt in the charging circuit of the plugs. If the car is hot this is not a big deal, but can be a real pain when cold.

Any ideas on what to try?

Cheers

Hi

The keypad immobiliser only works on the diesel fuel pump on your car, I would check the glow plugs & the control relay first.

OK, well I'm pretty sure its not the plugs, replaced two and can't shift the other two, might have another go soon. If it is the relay what do I need to replace it with one of these?

Is it worth while trying to get one of a scrappy, would a NA Diesel module work on a TD?
