Hi Wilkobob,
Interesting to know what you 'exactly' make this from? :?:
1994 Xantia 1.9TD sx non anti sink.No aircon.Gone to the great scappy up above.

Now with Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDI (90 bhp)(03 plate) in 'Wicked Red'

The tool you made is exactly like the original Citroen tool! :)
Xantia Activa 2.0 HDi (1999)
Renault Clio 1.9D (1994)
BX 16TRS (1984) - RIP
Fiat Uno 45s (1987) - RIP

Its an old pop bottle, an old radiator cap, 2 o rings to seal the bottle in place, and another o ring to seal the cap on the header tank.
I used a glue gun to completely seal round the bottle neck.

Cut bottom off pop bottle to make a funnel, drill a hole in the cap of bottle so water will pass through it (about 12mm).
Drill appropriate sized hole in old radiator cap for bottle screw top to go through. Fit one o ring to top of bottle, then put the radiator cap on, then another o ring. Re fit the screw cap to hold it all together. I used a glue gun to go round the inside and outside of the cap to make sure it wouldnt leak / fall to bits.

Use larger o ring to seal the "ACME CITROEN COOLING FILLING TOOL" to the cars header tank.

Hey presto, a device to save a lot of b*ll ache.

I guess a plastic radiator cap would be better to make this from (easier to drill and glue) but a metal one will work (as it did for me).

The easiest way to bleed them is to disconnect the heater return hose.
