Plip

Post by Quinny »

I've lost the plip for my 99 HDi.

Can anyone tell me what type it is,so as I can buy a replacement, perhaps off Fleabay?

Did your old one have a clear LED near to the key blade?
If so it is the IR (infra red) type.
Otherwise it'll be the RF type.

Peugeot parts cd shows 2 different part numbers for the key fobs on the facelifted 406.

9926 KH & 9926 KJ

Im 99% certain its 9926 KJ you want for your 406.

You will be looking for a RF plip, Radio type.

Put simply Quinny, if you could plip the car with the key in your pocket, then it's the RF type.

If it had to be pointed at the car to work, then it was likely the IR type.
