zx td engine mounts

The gearbox mount on my ZX TD is for want of a better word mullered. I've yet to own an xud engined car without the dreaded thrashed mount.

My question is, can the mount be changed in situ? I've heard of people taking the mounting off and bashing it out in a vice, but this seems a little long winded to me. is there a quicker way

Did it on my BX TD. Cut through outer steel ring on bush with a hacksaw, then punched the mount out without too much trouble or damage. I'd put the new one in the deep freeze overnight to shrink it slightly, put a dab of grease round the edge and punched it again without much trouble.

Make sure there's a lead in (bevelled edge) on the new one before you freeze it and be ready to work quickly to get it in before it warms up.
