GPS Systems in C5

Post by Philjw »

I'm considering buying an after market GPS System. My C5 has a heat reflective windscreen. Will this affect reception from the sattelites? Is an external aerial the answer?
What unit would you all go for or avoid?
I'm mainly interested in UK but make the occasional trip to France where street level mapping would be ideal.

My brother has just got a TomTom, and its absolutely brilliant. With the coated winscreen in the C5 you will probably need an external aerial, but it seems to depend on the make of GPS you have. It's a case of try it and see I think.
