205 GTi Stop Lamp

For a few days now the STOP lamp on my dash has been dim and flickery along with the oil pressure and high coolant temperature lights when the ignition is on but the engine not running. All lights go off normally when the engine is running.

Before I rip the dash apart to find the problem, does anyone have any ideas? It niggles me but not as much as my Xantia dash which has most of its lights out...

Could be a dodgy earth connection somewhere under the bonnet. Try them first. My visa (same dash layout) only shows the Stop light about half the time with the igntion on the 1st stage sigh, another winter job to solve that one!
