205GTi Fuel Lines

Post by CitroJim »

Just had my 205GTi MOT'd. It passed but with an advisory that the fuel lines are corroded :o .

Indeed they are and I'm keen to replace them, the two metal lines from the tank back to the engine bay.

Any good suggestions as to where replacements may be sourced. Are they available from Pug or is it a case of making some up. If the latter, can cupro-nickel pipe be used or must it be steel?

Any thoughts very welcome...

You could use copper or cupo-nickel lines, as these would cope with injection pressure no problem. Just don't use semi-rigid plastic lines, as I doubt they would cope with injection pressure.

The only reason the originals are steel is for cheapness.
