quiet siren

hi i'am new to the forum so be gentle i have just got a citroen xantia vsx 1.9 td now heres the thing the alarm works but the siren is very quiet any ideas why and when i say quiet you can just about hear it

Mines far from quiet.... it went ballistic tonight when the battery drained because of constant engine cranking

I just couldn't shut it up

It could be the siren itself, the do sometimes die. You could try cleaning it's connectors, but I'm not sure where they are. I believe the siren itself is in the passenger side wing...

Siren is under the passenger wing alright but there is no connector block there.

cheers for the info guys best thing for me to do is check the siren itself and work from there and chase the wires back its working its just very very quiet
