Saxo dashboard lights

Post by LeicsVTR »

I was reading the handbook for my 2000 Saxo VTR and I noticed the image that specifies which lights should light up with the ignition on to test the systems.

It was quite clear that not even half that many came on when I start my car. Could it be that half my car's systems are faulty? (including airbag, abs etc).

Unlikely - more likely instrumentation failure: I noticed a correlation between the lights that work and the lights that don't. All the red ones come on (about three) and none of the orange ones do (about six or so).

Does anybody know what this could be? I though fuse, but there seems to only be one fuse for the whole instrument panel. Surely not all of my orange bulbs have blown? Is it some sort of relay maybe?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks
