Breather hose where from?

Post by maddave »

Hello, I have a pug 405 1.8 petrol 1993 and whilst doing an oil change managed to knock the breather pipe off which is situated next to the oil filter. When trying to push it back onto the large bulbous nipple, it split along its length and I ended up having to make a bodge with cable ties and an old inner tube from my push bike!! Where can I get a new pipe from cos it seems a pre fabricated shape with it going all the way up to the air filter and what size is it?

Anyone got a spare from an old car at all?

At a guess I'd say you might expect to pay between £6-£12 for a breather hose.

Yeah, they're not expensive (like Dave says, about a tenner) but fitting can be a right PITA. I had to have the starter off just to be able to see where the other end went! Still ended up with shredded knuckles
