Which Dashboard Bulb do I require ??

Post by steviewonder7 »

Hi Folks,

First, thanks for bringing back much needed forum, secondly can anyone
help me identify which dashboard bulbs to purchase from the likes of GSF.
My bulb for the ABS doesn't appear to be working(never has since I had the car) and because I dont want to dismantle the whole dashboard just to find out which is the correct bulb to fit just yet, can anyone help identify which one I require from the two mentioned below:-

Dash bulb 12v 3 w capless N95935 10mm wedge

OR

Dash bulb 12 1.2w capless N95932 5mm wedge.

Much appreciated for your answers
Steve

they either the tiny capless i think 1.2w or the same bulb fixed in its own holder, but im sure if you give GSF a call they will be able to tell you exacctly which ones you require,on the other hand you could try your local lucas branch

Just a thought - I dont have the link to hand - but if you google images the ZX about 3 pages in there is (in German) a very conprehensive description of someone changing the dash lighting using one of those flexible neon strips - I thought it looked quite good and would probbaly last longer than the bulbs once fitted.

if they are the same as the bx then they are ( i believe) 5mm wedge bulbs, i have just bought some from ebay following advice from someone on here (gsf forum) that they are the same as the bulbs used in fruit machines and the like and therefore much cheaper! i got 50 bulbs for £4 inc postage! my local factors want 99p each (trade) for them!

I might try ebay as the bulbs are obviously cheap. If not I'll take a chance and buy both types from GSF as they are not that bad a price.
Thanks for your replys folks.
