Saxo head gasket

I would appreciate a bit of assistance re head gasket on a Saxo Diesel
from maybe someone who works within a Citroen parts dept.
My wife has just had the gasket replaced on this car by a garage (non Citroen) we were charged £89.36 plus vat for the head set, when I queried this I was told the head set costs 58.00 plus vat and the head gasket is another 31.00 odd plus vat, surely the head gasket would come in the head gasket set. This did not include any labour.
I hope I not being done by this garage.

on my xantia turbo diesel the head set cost £41 inc vat with the headbolts and the head gasket cost £19 inc vat (5 sizes so can't be inc in headset)also if you had headgasket done i hope timing belt was replaced as well, so your prices don't seem to bad as i guess you are being charged retail not trade price? hope this helps

these prices are for non citroen parts i think the citroen price for my head gasket only was about £56 i can't remember as i must have fell over and hit my head!!
