first off I have no intentions on doing this, its purely curiosity:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Citroen-Xantia-98 ... dZViewItem
Would that squeeze into a ZX bay or is it far to wide, deep, long, short, tall etc?
Just throwing it out there

it would definately go in without too many worries. My brothers mate has converted a couple of 205's to this engine in his back yard.
If i remember right he had to make up a water pipe at the back of the engine and install a crank sensor.
But the engine is only 150bhp standard and its the 1.9 block like the gti. He is now doing a mi16 turbo conversion using some of the bits from that engine and the 4wd system form a 405!![:D] That would be nice in a 3dr 16v zx eh?

the engine is only 150 bhp as you stated but it has the all important 170lbft torque figure! which is what makes the car go forward so its not to bad! it will take minor tweeks to it too but nothing major (one of the guys on another forum had a 406 with it in and later a activa with the same engine) with out strengthening!
