206 Central Locking

Post by Paul Wilson »

Hi,
My wife keeps returning to her 2001 206 to find that the doors are unlocked. She swears that she did lock them when leaving the car. Has anyone else had problems with phantom unlocking on their 206?
Thanks
Paul

is she locking them remotley or key in door?
Maybe she is pressing the wrong button on the plip or is putting key into her bag and the plip is being pressed again by something.
It must be 'unlocking' within 30 seconds of leaving car, after this the alarm would be fully set an would detect a current surge when the doors unlock, therefore triggering alarm.

Hi
Any ideas if the 206 in question is multiplexed?
Multiplexing came in on the 206 in October 2001.
Quick way to find out what type of electrics your 206 has is.
Feel behind the steering wheel for 2 holes, one on each side with screws in that hold the drivers airbag on.
If you can feel / see the holes then your 206 is NOT multiplexed.
If theres No holes then your 206 IS multiplexed.
If it is multiplexed then is the car running the latest software from Peugeot?
