LHM - How often to top up?

Post by AndUK »

Hi there,
I have a Citroen XM and have to top up the LHM every couple of hundred miles, to stop it dropping below the minimum line.
How often is LHM usually topped up?
Thanks.

The LHM should not normally need topped up by vast amounts. You have a leak somewhere.

Never is the correct answer. In fact there will be a slight drop in level at full height as the spheres loose gas and compress a bit more.

Being an XM I doubt very much if it is leak free, I speak from experience having had four, but it does stop the chassis from rusting!
