I would suggest, as it is a Renault, park it in a hedge and runaway quickly, before anybody sees! Get a Citroen, you know it makes sense.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

taipan's problem is this:
Hi All,
I have a 2002 Scenic Dci. The car runs perfectly with one exception. Under load the car makes a sort of whoosing, burbling noise? The turbo seems to work fine and it isnt a turbo whine.
Its almost like if you've ever heard water rushing through the cooling sytem when you rev the car and its got an airlock. But the cooling system is fine.
I really cant think of clearer description to make of the noise? Anyonehave any ideas on what it could be?
Many thanks.
I wonder - could a beater hose or other hose be flattening when the car accelerates? This could be caused by the engine rocking (failed mount?)or it might be the problem some BX's have suffered from which is that the bottom hose is sucked flat by the water pump (Especially when they get old)
