Hi, yet another little niggling problem. The little 'catch' that the glove box lid attaches to in my XM seems to be broken. One of the little claws has broken off, and I've had to push the box lid down and lock it to force it to stay shut.
The Glove Box isn't vital obviously to the running of the car, but its something that would be nice to get repaired. Is the glove box catch an XM only part, how easy is it to repair and how would I do so.
Thanks in advance.
Glove Box repair.

not sure it's common to other models, and I expect there's a difference between S1 and S2 models as well.
S1's are fairly easy to remove/replace, 4 screws for the main pod, remove the light and pop it off, easing the claws through the holes as needed - be sure NOT to press on the release lever - if it's still intact, keep it as you'll likely end up needing that bit one day - they break real easy.
the latch sits along the openning, 3-4 screws holding it in place.
