Sony MD Removal From 306

I Just got a 306 M Reg. It already has a sony MD player installed and replacement facia. I want to put in a Sony CD player but tryed poping off the facia but wont move. Can any1 tell me how to remove the MD player, thanx gaz-p

If it's the type with the removable front panel there should be two small slits that you have to push a removal tool into one at the top like this - and one at the side like this |.
Or you need to remove the plastic surround from the edge and use some removal tools in either end.
If you pop to your local halfords they sometimes will pop it out for free.

There is an issue with some older Sony head units losing their fascia when cars go over bumps etc. I cured this with a bit of velcro but some have been known to be superglued in place.
Once the stereo fascia is off you need a pair of Sony snatch pins - a coupla quid in Halfrauds.
