405 Clutch

Hi All,
When i put my foot on the clutch to change gear the first bit of travel seems a bit sloppy or loose, anyone else had/got this problem?i think it has a self adjusting clutch (94 sdtd) any ideas?

Yes,mine has a similar issue but its been like that for ages and been ok,im not to bothered because a new clutch is due soon i will see what its like then maybe change the cable aswell.

Hi
When you stick a new cable on, Change the plastic pedal stop & metal clip too, Under £5 tops from a dealer.
If you dont you find the pedal stop snaps not long after its been disturbed.
1994 was the changeover year to the automatic adjusting cable.
The sloppy pedal travel mentioned could be the metal clip or pedal stop on its way out.
