Grr Xantia Brake Lights

Post by mattpc »

Drivers side brake light is out on my T plate Xantia HDI hatch. On the PASSENGER side there is a wing nut to undo with enough space to turn the nut. On the DRIVERS side which is the side I need to do there does not even appear to be enough space to turn the wingnut! So how do I withdraw the assembly without undoing the wingnut? I am puzzled!![xx(]

Ah, Did it. Forced it to move using a screwdriver and then eventually the carpet moved enough to allow the wingnut to just about move properly!

You made the mistake of thinking about it before hitting it. That rarely works.
