Post by adamskibx »

Its not really me that wants to know this as I dont have a cat-fitted deisel car but my friend runs a "VW Caddy van" and wants to start running on veg oil and pay all taxes etc.... Sorry to post about a non Cit car but there seems to be loads of people on here with experience of veg oil fuel so I thought someone would know. Cheers, Adam

Dunno about a cat, but you can if you have a dog. [:D] [:D]
Do a search under "veggie oil" etc, it will take you untill 2006 to read it all.. [^]

Diesel cats aren't affected by bio-diesel, generally they're so well coated with soot and tar they don't do anything useful.

Yes, you can run veggie with a cat, though if you're sensible you'll consign the cat to the bin anyway cos they don't do much on a wheezil (except bung the engine up, meaning more fuel needs to be burned for a given output, meaning more emissions, so not very clever in the long run).
