C5 Brake Pad Change

Post by andrewhall »

I am changing the rear brake pads on my 2002 C5 HDi 110 at the weekend. Wondered if any other member has has the pleasure of the pad change and had any difficulties.
I notice that you can get a Left Hand Caliper Windback tool (For Citroen C5 and Renault Master). Do I need this tool? Can I get away without one?
Have previously changed pads/discs on a Xantia without any issues. Will the brakes/caliper on the C5 be similar to the Xantia?
Any advice would help.
Thanks
Andrew

But the C5 is the same as the Xantia, in that the handbrake operates on the front wheels...so the pistons can just be pushed back into the rear calipers. They only need to be wound back on the front ones.
