zx styling

Post by messiah150 »

hi there, i own a citroen zx furio and have been searching the net for bodystyling mods. nothing to drastic as i like the appearance of the car pretty much as it is. just wondering if there are any sites with info on bodykits, clear light clusters and engine mods. i've seen loads of pics on french sites of zx's with clear light clusters but cant find them?
any info would be great
many thanks
sean

Putting one of those cheesy Cituning bodykits on a ZX just isn't right IMHO. And did you see how much the full "maxi" bodykit is on that site? £1150. You could buy a pair of volcanes for that money. [:0]

"ZX" and "styling" sounds like a contadiction in terms to me.. [:o)] [:)]
Its lack of 'styling' is the attraction of the ZX, they concentrated on making a good car, rather than a good looking one. [:)] i.e. my sis has a pe 306 same year engine etc as my ZX, the main difference being she paid £1.500 more than I did, and my ZX is nicer to drive. [:)]
I prefer cars to be as "original" as possible, the odd badge, coach line, ally wheels, etc are ok, but beyond that I think you should change cars not ruin the one you already have.. [|)]
And of course, the ZX has a charm all of its own. You only have to drive one to realise that fact.. [^]

because its there?
messiah150 - if you have volcane style bumpers the 16v kit will fit but the rear arches will need some minor modifications. take a look at my website: www.chunky-monkey.co.uk , we've flaired the arch back out like the real 16vers but you can get away just cutting the arch to match.
I think Gareth has a full 16v kit forsale, other than the bumpers.

i thought the volcane stuff was a straight bolt on fit, might just leave it as it is if its too much work. Didnt really want to go for an OTT bodykit cos i think the zx looks pretty good as it is.

Volcane bumpers will bolt straight on & they are a common update. 16v bumpers are slightly different but you can fit the 16v arches to the volcane bumpers.
