help where is that sensor for the rev counter i was told it's on top of the gearbox but all i see is a black plastic cover is it under this and how is it fitted many thanks for any help

It is sat round the back of the engine, about halfway up the block and is fitted adjacent to the flywheel. It has a long connecting wire which wraps around the block and over the top of the gearbox where the black plastic cover is. You won't see from the top, you'll have to get underneath and look at the back of the engine. Don't get confused with the speedo which is fitted into the gearbox where the driveshafts enter ity.

Its just below the head/block joint on the n/s (gearbox end) you will probably have to remove some air ducting.
