Are there any more Citroen forums
Need more info on the xantia hdi engines and was wondering if there are more forums with this info.
thanks.
thanks.
For general HDI information, try here - http://www.christiantena.pwp.blueyonder ... operation/
Otherwise, remember that the same engine is also used in Peugeots.

they obviously <b>wont </b>let me mention the competition!!!!!
i can only therefore tell you that a similar company exists and a quick search on google should help you find it.
in case you do crosswords, i'll give you a few clues:
1st word(4 letters): the continent we live in (assuming you're in UK or thereabouts), without physical exercise (PE),
2nd word (3 letters): automobile,
3rd word (5 letters): strap (anagram)
hope the moderator's got a sense of humour![;)]

The competition aren't as good, they're more expensive too and I've moaned about them before, their forum is rather quiet too.
Their only advantage over GSF is that they have a branch that is on my route to work and back, now if GSF opened a branch local to me (hint hint) that would be true no longer.

For the information of those who haven't been on this forum very long.
There are good reasons why they are not advertised here. Apart from the fact it is not the general rule in business to pay for you oppositions advertising (in this case carrying recommendations for one company on a site supported by another) there have also been issues in the past where certain people with allegiances to that company have tried to create problems on this forum and in one instance to the extent that we had to restrict their access to this board with the result a filter was put in place to prevent any repitition.
So it's not just a case of banning for banning's sake as when the mischief was caused, it was done "coincidentally" when it was common knowledge that the administrator of this forum was away on leave for a few days and as a result I had my normal days activities thrown into chaos trying to contact other people with admin capabilities on the other side of the World to prevent the garbage going on unchecked.
FWIW, if they'd have put as much effort into their own forum to make it work at that time as they were putting into this one they were trying to foul up, it might not be as crap as it is.
If you need another Citroen forum try:
http://citroenz.com/forum/index.php
or if you want to get on a list (you don't have to get e-mails on responses as it's optional) take your pick out of this lot:
http://www.citroenet.org.uk/html/l/listlist.htm
Both of those should provide whatever you're looking for.

Thanks Alan for the info. I was unaware there was such activity. I've asked a similar question in the past as I was using both forums. The other forum has practically come to a standstill now anyway.
I made the mistake of buying oil filters from them recently (their shop is very near work). Usually I get Purflux as they appear to be a nice heavy, well filtered construction; but they gave me Hengst and I didn't notice. I really had a shock when I went to fit them - they are very light and tinny, and look as if they have half the filtration in!
Anyway back to the question; other Cit forums I look at are:
<ul><li>http://www.preloved.co.uk/fuseaction-fo ... 092a9.html </li><li>http://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11 </li><li>http://www.bxclub.co.uk/forum/</li></ul> Or general forums:

To be honest, I don't see them as opposition sites. I haven't yet found a site as well used and as helpful as this one. I do check other sites, but usually it is to pass on what I have learned here! And when something difficult turns up I point them here - where I know they'll get the help they need. After all, the majority of posters on all the sites are merely people looking for help - and a lot of the time they don't really get it.
