silly question - Xantia dash switches

Post by stevecritchlow »

I know this will make me look daft, but there are two switches on the dashboard of my 1997 Xantia. I don't know what they do, and unbelievably the Citroen owners manual doesn't tell me what they are!
The switches in question are illuminated button switches, and sit in the dash to the right hand side of the steering wheel. One has a picture of two arrows, one pointing up and the other down. The second switch has what looks like a speaker symbol with a crosss through it. (this one isn't working I think)
Don't laugh at me!

The latter one is to disable the interior alarm but I haven't a clue what the other one is - I posted this too on Activanet this morning

the other switch disables the rear window switches. Ideal for when you are transporting little terrors.

Alarm button also used to cancel the alarm if your remote stops working, or you lose it. Open door with the key, alarm goes off, turn ignition on, press switch. Ahhhh, silence.
