Text message HPI check

Post by martyhopkirk »

A few weeks ago I used a 81xxxx text message number as a premium rate HPI car check - costs £1.50 - text them the reg - they text you back with all the HPI details that normally set you back £30.
Bugger me , if I havent lost the number - does anyone know it as I have been searching high and low ever since and owing to a terminal AX, I am off car hunting this weekend.
Cheers Chaps.

If you are on orange just go on your wap browser and find the motoring section, it's under there.

Just used it for my car
Scrapped - No (I should hope not!!)
Stolen - No (Yippie)
Import - No (Well yeahh!!)
It would appear if i read correctly it was registered August 97 and has 5 owners to date

Hmmm - tried it today and nothing. Not a saussage back on the 1.9D Clio I was considering.
A very heavy clutch and non hardening primer bulb put me off in the end.

Had nothing better to do, so I tried it for my 93 tdsx... the info I had back confirmed what I knew about the car, so it appears to be accurate. For a quick and cheap check of a car I would use it again !
