In My experience Michelin tyres are quite good but not the best, and certainly not worth the ridiculous premium you have to pay to get them! I'm not sure about the XM, but on my ZX, I've used Continental Sport Contacts and they were amazing. Excellent grip wet or dry, good economy and quite cheap to buy (well compared with Michelin anyway!). I believe after reading the auto-express road test that the Premium Contacts which are the replacement, are even better (and incidentally beat Michelin, Goodyear, Pirelli etc etc). My advice would be to get a set of them. You won't look back!!

Try these two websites for your tyres.
www.mytyres.net
www.e-tyres.co.uk
They look cheap even after delivery and fitting charges are added.
