hi, the cars a 51 reg @ 104,k. basicly if the car is left to idle for 15 mins or so, the engine note starts to change intermitantly(like the timings to advanced). the car then stalls (seems to only happen at normal operating temps, ie not cold) , putting on the 'injection light', the fault codes pulled from the ecu say 311-fuel pressure information, the other says- heater plug curcuit.
a diesel specialist checked the injector 'leak off', & found them all to be over, these were replaced, also the high pressure pump was reconditioned. i did notice air appearing between the fuel filter & priming bubble, so this was bypassed, & the air was gone, but it still stalled. ive since put the old filter/line etc back on, so the air is back! will this cause any further probs?
i have bought another 1.9dci lag 2, just to fault find, hopfully sell it when done & recoupe some money!
