Amusing Number Plates

Post by OwenP »

Was on my way back home today when I saw a Citroen C5 estate (I think) with the number plate "C5 YYY"
What other amusing number plates are out there?

I saw a Xantia a while back bearing the plate T111TTT. It was being driven like one too...

All very well, but what happens in 10 years or so when the car is beyond redemption? It wont look anything like as good on the latest Fraud Mundane.

Don't you really want V4NNY, or is that one too expensive for a person of your means?

I'd quite like to have DAV1D, but the last time it changed hands was in 1988, for £80'000. A tad expensive methinks.
Most appropriate registration I've ever seen was on a police car. I can't remember the letters, but the numbers were "999".

Ironically, the number plate 2 CV is on a Volvo Estate. Booooo!
CV 2 is on a Xantia.
Anyone remember Paul Daniel's Ferrari? MAG 1 C. Of course.

There is a 2CV club memeber with A2 CVG - on a 2CV obviously.
With the right spacing looks a lot like A 2CV 6. And another chap has DY CIT on a dyane oddly enough :-) Bramley Park Garages used to have a few CX plates when they were the CX centre. Now they are no more i figure maybe Roger Bradford has them on retention.

I think that is David Conway, who also has a very early 2CV.

Hey there DollyWobbler! I think David's got 'CV2' on a C5 now - maybe we could talk him into putting it onto the Slough-built...
Paul and Linda Harrison in Burton have 'C2CVD' and 'C2CVS', both on Charlestons.
