Hi to all,
A citroen mechanic told me that the LHM reservoir on the Xantia has some back-pressure avoidance mechanism. As far as I could understand, if this mechanism is failing, there will be some pressure loss in the hydraulic system.
Can anyone please give some insight on this issue?

I think the mechanism is the top of the tank which doesn't seal!

or is he referring to the low pressure returns to the reservoir, from the various suspension components? If so, then a failing component with high leak-back could/would result in some loss of pressure in that part of the system that may affect the rest of the hydraulics too (brake doseur is a common one on the XM)
