panel lights on

On my BX14 I find the instrument panel lights come on even when side and headlamps are off. Also the accessory position doesn't feel very positive and in this position I get Battery and handbrake lights come on!
Is any of this normal, or has someone been fiddling with my wiring?

Hi Philip - Your wiring sounds OK. Some panel lights do come on even without the side lights.

The ZX has also this type of set up.
