Does anyone know of a quick and easy way to check if a 406 has multiplexed wiring? I'm in the market for a diesel 406 and wish to avoid the multiplexed cars, whilst getting the most recent vehicle I can find.
One possibility which springs to mind is to check for a delay on headlight flash, but someone may have a better idea. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Not all HDI vehicles are Multiplex. My mothers 306 HDI isn't, and the brand new HDI Expert van I drove yesterday wasn't (well, not fully anyway, although I think there was a high level of electronics)
Conversley, the 1.9D partner van I drove was completely multiplex, and boy was it horrible. The delay on things like the horn, and the screenwash switch make you feel utterly out-of-control of the vehicle's basic functions. yukka.
