squeaky lights

Not really just 2 problems
1 - the lights for the trip computer & time/temp do not illuminate EXCEPT when i turn the car light on?
2-I have a really squeaky off side rear brake.When i apply the brake it stops but makes a hell of noise when driving. Going over bumps/round corners etc diminishes the noise but not entirely.

I get squeaks from my rear brakes, but its not a squeal like you get when braking, its there even staionaery....something needs greasing up down there I think...what though? When the handbrake is on, the noise then goes away
