106 xsi ignition failure

no spark,changed plugs,leads,pick up sensor and got coil pack checked but no joy.any ideas

Possibly immobiliser, depending on year. If you have the later transponder type (no keypad, chip in key fob), check the connections to the reader coil in the plastic housing around the ignition lock barrel. What year is the vehicle?

new immobiliser about £16 from Peugeot. easy to fit..

106 XSI is going to be a pre facelift car, I dont think these ever had the transponder chip system.
To work out if it is immobiliser, Can you hear the fuel pump running for a few seconds when you turn the ignition on? Stick your ear near the O/S/R wheel & get someone to turn the ignition on.
You should hear the fuelpump run for a few seconds as it primes the system.
