ratchet noise from rear

Since changing the anti sink sphere on the Xantia I am getting a ratchet type noise, i.e. a rapid series of clicks that lasts about 1 to 2 seconds as the suspension settles after switching the engine off. Tried citaerobics but it still happens. Linkages are well lubed and suspension seems othewise ok and quiet.

Am I right in thinking that when the engine is switched off and the HP pump stops pumping the pressure in the anti sink sphere exceeds the system pressure and this it what sets the anti sink valve into it's hold up the back position??
