Map Sensor
If the Map Sensor is dodgy, I know it effects the idleing of the car, but will it effect the starting of the car, as i have the symptons of a dodgy map sensor, but also in the heat and when the engine is hot its a nightmare to start!

Check the Pug forum, I've put some instructions for cleaning the map sensor on it.

As for cheap petrol filters. Go to any motor spares shop and for about £1.25 ask for an 'in line' petrol filter. Then fit it in the black vacume hose by cutting the hose in half and then placicing the filter 'in line' eother way it dont matter as it's filtering a small amount of air.
