306 TD starting or not!

had this problem for a while now,sometimes when I try to start the starter just clicks,after 6 or 7 attemps it then turns over ok and fires.I have changed the battery and tried 2 starters.Anybody had a problem like this? thanks

Hi, I think a mate of mine had the same problem on his 306 and if I remember correctly it was a earth strap to the engine. Not been able to get hold of him to check. I could be wrong but it may be worth checking.
