406 Engile oil change, synthetic oil ?

Post by joyful »

I need to have an oil and filter change on a 406. is this easy enough to do oneself or should I use a Peugeot dealer.
What oil is best. Fully synthetic ?

A Pug dealer is the last place you should go. He'll charge you an arm and a leg. There's no need to use synthetic, although it won't do any harm. Any good quality semi-synthetic will be fine. If you go to a GSF store, you'll get a top quality filter and a suitable oil at a fair price. Get a Haynes manual at the same time, and you'll find there's not much to doing the job.

You might want to have a look at National Tyres there has been an offer on oil changes £15 Semi Synthetic and £20 Fully Synthetic
