judder

can anyone give me some advice, i have just got a BX17RD and it had just started to judder as i pull away in first gear only, this only happens when the car is cold, any ideas, also can anyone tell me the best place to get hold of a tow bar for the BX

Clutch is suspect. A clutch problem will cause problems when it is under the most stress, when power is applied from moving off. If you do this job yourself the clutch kit is around £65 and it will take you a day if you are experienced. Towbar from a scrap car ( could be fun getting it off) or try 'Towshure.co.uk' in Sheffield, about £70 if they still do them.

thanks John, have had a look at the clutch adj and was able to adjust allbeit only a small amount, will have to look at a new clutch in the near future, thanks again
