Maybe a silly question but as i have a V reg 406 and plan to change the battery soon am i supposed to have a radio code for when the battery is disconnected... havnt got a code anywhere in my docs as other cars seem to have... handbook says its done automatically as radio cant be used in other cars... thought i'd ask first tho,

if it needs the code try here they seem helpful and provided me with the code to my radio http://radiocode.proboards6.com hope this helps

Call the original supplying dealer. They have those details on their computer. I've called at least 3 times and they've provided the code over the phone, FOC.

Isnt the series two 406 radio coded to the car? Theres no need for a security code.
The only time you would need help is if you remove the radio & install it in a different car.

That fits in with what i've been told by a mechanic he said very same thing...good news i can change my battery... thanks
