XM radiator hoses/pipes

Post by lanciaf »

I have the 3litre V6 24 valve XM and wish to replace the ageing radiator hoses etc. Cannot find a source for them in Australia and am unfamiliar with European suppliers. Any help would be appreciated. Also, what's the best coolant?

I don't think there are any pattern part suppliers of hoses, not in the UK anyway, I am afraid it will have to be Citroen - unless anyone knows different.

Is your XM a private import ? If it was Australian delivered then Citroen Australia should be able to help you.
I just use a good quality regular coolant in my XM.

Which end of the Country are you?
As Clogzz says, Mr Yong at Auto France is a good source or Martin Bray in SA or if in Brisbane, Euroservice at Abbotsford Road, Mayne.
The people who run that are the family of Jim Reddiex who was the ditributor for them when they were available new, so they may have access to stock the others may bot have. There was only around 100 imported out here so parts availability isn't their long suite.
Martin has bought a couple of mint V6 XMs and if all else fails, may have used ones in close to new condition.

Not sure if the 24V was imported into Australia officially. Guessing that hoses on this model are different to the 12V.

Send me as much info as possible eg. RPO number, RHD/LHD, chassis no. year and which hoses you need. I will get you part nos. from local Citroen dealers and see if the will send them to you. Postage is not as much as you may think.
