hi everyone,
(this might of been asked before) but i have just bought an AX GT as a run around and was wondering if there is something i can do to the fuel sender to stop my gauge going all over the place? depending on the corner im going around the gudge goes from full to empty etc?!
any ideas?

Sounds like you need a new sender unit to me mate. Mine does similar daft things but only when I'm around the 1/4 full mark. The car can be sat stationary and the gauge will dance around all over the place. Should be just under the rear seat and fairly easy to replace providing you don't blow yourself up. [:D]

I don't suppose by any chance the wire to tha tank unit has fallen off or come unplugged?

Find the main wire to the tank, earth it to the metalwork. Does it read (after a few seconds) a full tank?
If so, it is the sender unit at fault. If not, it could be the gauge, from this point on I am useless. Hope this helps.
