Picture this.. youve just sprayed the windscreen with the washer, the wipers have done their usual 2 or three wipes.. lovely clear windscreen... then irritatingly, the liquid remaining on the wiper arm is blown off on to the glass necessitating another wipe.
This then continues until the fluid has dried off the arm and probably left marks on the windscreen. Its a catch22 situation!
The drivers side wiper on my Xantia simply rests too high, in the airstream from the bonnet.
The C5 has a fillet at the top end of the bonnet which seems to deflect the air over the wiper.
Has anyone here tried to find a solution to this or am I the only one affected?
I had thought of lengthening the wiper arm on the other side of the pivot which would give a larger sweep.. or a bit of trim with an aerodynamic sweep at the top of the bonnet...any other ideas?
Chris
Anyone ever modified Xantia wipers

I've done this to the ZX. It uses a single wiper & parks on the passagers side.
If you wash the screen or drive through a drissle the wiper clears the screen but the water at the bottom then runs up right in your feild of view.
But parking the wiper on the drivers side the water runs up the blade & off. The daft thing is if you look at LHD ZX's their wipers park on what would be our driver side.

I moved the park position on my BX to the right hand side of the screen, I do not find the blade being in my line of sight a problem, there is a slight advantage in moving the arm re water blowing up the screen, and the fact that the part I look through is swept first, it still doesnt help the BX habit of wearing blades out too quickly.
